The 13th Annual Relate North Symposium will take place online under the theme Lessons of the Land, 3-4 November 9am-4pm (Newfoundland Standard time) or 13.30-20.30 in Sweden. Including presentations by UmArts postdocs Tarsh Bates and Luis Berrios-Negron.

Monday 3/11 the Symposium will be screened at Tráhppie Sámi Culture Center, Helena Elisabets väg 4, and on Tuesday 4/11 the Symposium will be screened at UmArts Research Centre, Östra Standgatan 32d. Welcome to join us both days!

This free two-day symposium brings together artists and designers, arts-based educators, knowledge keepers, researchers, and scholars from across the circumpolar North to share Indigenous art, Indigenous Land-Based Education, and approaches to land-based arts and education more broadly. The symposium focuses on art, design, craft, and education in the North, including the Arctic and near Arctic regions. Find more information here.
