Susanne Ewerlöf and Trine Hansen collaborative residence at the UmArts Research studio from 9-18 February 2026.
With a focus on sites around Árviesjávrrie / Arvidsjaur, Trine Hansen, architect and musician, and Susanne Ewerlöf, curator and PhD student, are trying to understand how history, heritage and place interact. During February, they will reside in Ubmeje/Umeå at the invitation of UmArts to start the process of building an art installation/space for open conversations and art. The residency will contribute to their artistic research project Spekulationsworkshop kring det glömda skogssamiska arvet (2025-26) funded by an exploratory workshop grant from the Swedish Research Council. It remains a structure that is never finished, in perpetual use for conversations and gatherings.
Trine Hansen also participated in the AAS Augmented Reality workshop held week 10 in Ubmeje.
